Sean Armbruster, Class of 1992, was a three-sport athlete, playing football, basketball, and track & field.

Sean played football his sophomore through senior years. As a sophomore he played quarterback, however due to his remarkable speed he was moved to the running back position for his junior and senior years. Sean was Captain his senior year and a major contributor to the team. A highlight of his season was a 300 yard game in which he scored four touchdowns. Sean was MVP of the Shepherd Hill game. On Thanksgiving Day, Sean became the first player to win both the Sabatinelli MVP award and the McMahon Defensive MVP award for the annual classic against Southbridge. Sean was a Border Conference All-Star his junior and senior years, a Telegram & Gazette All-Star his senior year, and was selected to play in the Central Massachusetts All-Star game.

Sean was also a leader on the track & field team his sophomore through senior years, with the team going undefeated twice. He competed in the 100, 200, and 400 meter events as well as the high and long jumps. Sean placed first in 51 out of 67 events his junior and senior years. In his senior year, Sean was selected as Captain and went undefeated in the 100, 200, and 400 meter events. Sean became only the third athlete from Bartlett to clear 6' in the high jump. His long jump of 20'9" placed him second at the District Class Meet, the second longest jump in school history. Sean holds the school record in the 100 meter with a time of 10.5 seconds. Sean was team MVP and was selected as a Border Conference All-Star his senior year.

Sean also played varsity basketball for the Indians, lettering in his junior year.

After high school, Sean attended Fitchburg State College and was a member of the football team, setting a conference record for the longest pass completion with a pass for 96 yards.

Sean lives in Cranston, RI with his wife Julie and three children, Aidan, Jordyn, and Gwendolyn. He is a Telecommunication Foreman with Wayne J Griffin Electric.
